| Liliani Fifita has been fielding questions all week from her three children, Katherine and King Fifita, 8 and 6, and Sosaia Vaivaka, 9.
"They say, 'Mom, what happened?' I say, 'I don't know what happened,'" Fifita said.
Fifita, who lives in the Rainier Valley, is from Tonga, an island in the South Pacific. She had difficulty expressing her feelings in English. She did say this: "We pray for the families who lost (loved ones) in New York City. We feel sad about what happened over there." |
