Christmas is a time for celebration in rural villages such as Pajacuarán, Mexico. Farmworkers who can afford the trip from Washington go home for the posadas -- part street festival, part religious ceremony -- and for traditional family weddings. The dusty streets grow crowded with shiny SUVs bearing license plates from Washington and California, a stark contrast to poverty in Pajacuarán.
