"I am happy with this life," said Uriel Zaragoza Lopez as he irrigated a field of winter wheat in Pajacuarán. Lopez said he has never worked in the United States and doesn't want to, preferring to tend garbanzos, his goats and wheat fields for about $10 a day. "I have my life here, and besides I have my animals to take care of," he said. He has six children, including one in San Jose and another in San Francisco. "They help me," he said.
