The stadium to come

Construction on the new Washington State Football/Soccer Stadium has already begun at the south end of the Kingdome site and will move steadily ahead after the Kingdome demolition. The new facility, expected to be complete in 2002, will house the Seahawks and could also host World Cup Soccer. It will include 67,000 seats, 70 percent of which will be covered, 7,000 club seats and 71 upper-level suites.
