Saeed Alghamdi is one of three hijackers that U.S. officials have said are linked to Osama bin Laden's al-Qaida network. Immigration records show that Alghamdi made several trips to the Philippines in the last two years. Alghamdi was seen by a neighbor of hijacker Hani Hanjour at Hanjour's apartment in Paterson, N.J. He rented a two-bedroom condominium for $1,200 a month from 1988 to late 1991 in Florham Park, N.J., said owner James Beck. Alghamdi told Beck he worked for a pharmaceutical company and dressed in a business suit, his wife wore a traditional Muslim head covering, and they had two small children, Beck said. The FBI said Alghamdi also may have lived in Delray Beach, Fla. |
