1874 Early maps focused on real estate, as pioneers tried to convert their claims into profits. This 1874 view, published by an early realtor, shows the early plats filed by the Dennys, David "Doc" Maynard, Henry Yesler, Carson Boren, Asa Mercer and other pioneers. Most of these plats were somewhat theoretical - they remained unmarked and inaccessible.
