The Elwha: Travel a river being reborn

This fish weir, installed in the river every summer as flows drop, allows scientists to temporarily trap all adult returning fish so they can be identified and tagged before they are put back in the river. The weir is an important part of an effort by scientists to track fish populations before and after dam removal.
