Que Johnson will graduate from Washington State and transfer for senior season
Johnson will be eligible to play immediately.
PULLMAN — Que Johnson will graduate and transfer from the Washington State basketball program for his senior season.
Johnson has been granted his release, coach Ernie Kent said Tuesday. He will be eligible immediately.
A native of Pontiac, Mich., Johnson averaged nine points per game over his three-year career.
Johnson shot .404 from three-point range this season, ranking 11th in the Pac-12. He ranks 16th in WSU’s career record books with 121 three-pointers.
Golf
• The Washington men remain in eighth place at 14-over 714 after the second round of the Western Intercollegiate at the Pasatiempo Golf Club in Santa Cruz, Calif.
No. 9 Stanford leads at 8 under, followed by No. 26 Oregon at 5 under.
Oregon’s Aaron Wise leads at 11-under 129, one stroke ahead of Stanford’s Maverick McNealy. UW is led by Corey Pereira, who is tied for eighth at 1-under 139.
• The Seattle University women won the Montana State Bobcat Spring Invitational in Goodyear, Ariz. The Redhawks finished at 29-over 893, one stroke ahead of Wyoming. Seattle U’s Alexus Song (+4 220) was second and Dorsey Addicks (+5) tied for third.
• The Washington State men’s golf team finished third at the PING Cougar Classic at the Riverside Country Club in Provo, Utah.
WSU (6-under 858) finished three strokes behind second-place Wyoming. Tournament host Brigham Young finished first with a three-round total of 829. Four Cougars finished in the top 25, led by Zach Anderson, tied for 14th at 2-under 214.
