Oct. 11: When Ike Ditzenberger scored a touchdown for Snohomish on the evening of Sept. 24 that eventually the entire world would see, the joy was shared among everyone involved, on both sides of the football. Ditzenberger, born with Down syndrome, ran 51 yards to score in the final 10 seconds of the Panthers' 35-6 loss to Lake Stevens. A video of Ditzenberger's touchdown was posted on YouTube and went viral.

2010 was a strong year for photography by Seattle Times readers who sent in hundreds of entries for our "Pix From My Weekend" feature. At year's end, we've chosen 10 favorites. The selection is never easy. The grand prize goes to Ballard resident Ryan Hyde for his photo of a slackliner on the beach at Seattle's Golden Gardens Park.
