seattletimes.com year in review | 10 most popular live chats
Posted by Bob Payne
People sure do like to talk about sports around here, don't they? With all the bad news about local teams the past few years, an uptick in the local sports scene (Storm title, UW in bowl game and Sweet Sixteen, etc.) seems to have energized the fans. They turned out in big numbers to participate in live chats this year on seattletimes.com.
We held lots of non-sports chats this year too, but the sports chats owned the top 10 list in terms of live viewers. The two biggest non-sports live chats occurred during the Patty Murray-Dino Rossi debate and the Top 4 results show of "American Idol."
Here's the Top 10:
1. Geoff Baker Live, Mariners report - April 7
2. 4A boys basketball live thread, Day 2
3. Geoff Baker Live, Mariners spring training - Feb
Feb. 23
4. NFL Draft live chat - April 22
5. 4A boys basketball live chat, Day 1 - March 3
6. 3A boys basketball live chat, Day 1 - March 10
7. 3A state boys basketball live chat, Day 2 - March 11
8. 4A boys basketball live thread, Day 3 - March 5
9. Football recruiting chat with Bob Condotta and Mason Kelley - Feb. 2
10. Geoff Baker Live, M's spring training - Feb. 25
