Joann Bagnereise of Dumfries, Virginia, holds her grandson, Joseph Bagnerise, 4, outside the Ft. Myer chapel where services were being conducted for John Stanford prior to his burial at Arlington National Cemetery. Bagnerise said she'd followed Stanford's career ever since he took the superintendent's job in Seattle, and wanted her grandson to witness the funeral. "I told him, 'if you grow up to be half the man John Stanford was, your grandma will be sitting on the sidelines cheering you all the way'."
