Live chat with former UW quarterback Dennis Fitzpatrick
Dennis Fitzpatrick played at UW from 1972-74 and etched his name in the Husky record book 40 years ago as a senior.
During the 1974 season, he led the Huskies in rushing with 697 yards (at the time the most ever by a UW QB), including a memorable performance in his final game at the Apple Cup in Spokane.
In that game, a 24-17 victory at a cold and icy Joe Albi Stadium, he rushed for a remarkable 249 yards, which is still the all-time single-game rushing record by a UW quarterback. He also still ranks in the top 10 on many season and career QB rushing lists for the Huskies.
He currently is the general manager of Willows Lodge in Woodinville and has worked in hotel industry for several years.
Fitzpatrick will be available to answer questions about his playing days at UW, his Apple Cup memories and more in a live chat at noon Wednesday on seattletimes.com.
